We have trained volunteers who are there to listen and pray with you. You will be warmly welcomed and encouraged to share what you’re comfortable sharing regarding your circumstances and prayer concerns. We encourage our volunteers not to offer advice, but lead you in seeking God’s guidance through prayer. If follow-up is needed with the Care Team you may be asked to fill out a Care Request form which will be submitted to our Care Team on Monday morning.

Because we believe that Jesus is our best resource, the first step in our care process is always prayer. From there, we will determine other ways we can empower you to move with God through your life circumstances. That could mean a one-on-one visit, resource connections, or a referral to an outside specialist.

Someone from our dedicated team would love to visit you if you are in a local hospital, medical center, recovery center, or homebound. While we care about everyone, we can’t guarantee we’ll be there in person prior to a surgery, but will schedule our visit depending on factors like weather, distance, and availability of our team members. If possible, someone will schedule a brief visit (15-30 mins) to listen, gather information, and pray accordingly. We are committed to, at the very least, praying with you by phone. We reserve the right to review each request on a case by case basis prior to approval.

We respect your request for information to be confidential. However, we’re mandated to break confidentiality if there’s a threat to harm yourself or others. However, if we do have to break confidentiality, only those personally involved in providing direct care would be privy to your information.

If you have a loved one who has passed away, you may have their funeral here at Central. All you need to do is let the funeral home know that you attend here and you’re planning on having the funeral here. The funeral home will contact us, and we will set up everything you need

If you have gifts of mercy, empathy, shepherding, or intercession, our Care Team would love to have you serve on our team! You can serve monthly in our Care Room after a service, become a trained mentor for engaged couples, visit patients in the hospital or other medical facility, or visit one of our homebound friends. Small Groups are a good on-ramp, but if that doesn’t work, a place like Celebrate Recovery is a good place find community, or consider serving in Preschool, the Playland, guest services, worship arts, tech team, student ministries, etc. We know God has given everyone gifts so we invite you to be intentional about finding community here at Central.
